Agri-PV means: Fields remain fields

Work continues in the fields—planting and harvesting. Tractors can operate as usual.
Solar panels stand above the fields, slowly turning with the sun. They track the sun’s path from morning to night, making the most of the sunlight. The spacing between the rows and the height of the structures are carefully planned for each location and tailored to the farmers’ work.
This generates clean electricity without displacing agriculture.

Focus on Agriculture

About 90% of agricultural land can continue to be farmed as usual.
At the same time, the system protects crops from heat, increases soil moisture, and reduces water requirements. Another advantage: Elysium’s agri-PV sites are made available to farms rent-free. EU area payments are also fully maintained for the areas that continue to be used for agriculture.

For the local environment

More natural space through targeted promotion of biodiversity. Approximately 10% of the area is dedicated to measures designed to enhance biodiversity. Flower strips, hedges, and other natural elements create new habitats and provide long-term support for plants and animals. Ecologically designed privacy screens and planted border zones also contribute to biodiversity and environmental protection.

Clean electricity at the right time

Our agri-PV systems generate solar power exactly when it is needed most—especially in the early morning and late evening hours. This produces climate-friendly green energy that integrates seamlessly into the grid and can be relied upon. In this way, our projects make an important contribution to a stable and sustainable energy supply.

Technology and Decommissioning

Our state-of-the-art agri-PV technology is mobile and tracks the sun throughout the day. The system’s foundations are driven into the ground on agricultural land rather than set in concrete. This allows them to be completely dismantled without leaving any residue at the end of the project’s term—a guarantee we provide to landowners and communities.

Working Together for the Region

We design our agri-PV projects holistically and collaboratively. Through open dialogue with residents, municipalities, farms, landowners, and research partners, we develop projects that are transparent and practical.
We offer a variety of participation opportunities for local residents, such as discounted green energy credits or attractive subordinated loans, so that everyone can benefit from sustainable energy.
