Together with our partners in the "SynAgri-PV" research consortium, coordinated by the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, we hosted the First National Forum on Agri-PV on October 6, 2023.
The goal: to strengthen dialogue among industry experts, policymakers, and researchers and to promote the exchange of experiences related to Agri-PV.

Prof. Klaus Müller, project manager at the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF), summarized the first forum following engaging discussions on Agri-PV: 

“There needs to be dialogue among stakeholders to prevent all PV systems from being lumped together—this applies not only to issues concerning ground-mounted systems but also to the various types of agri-PV.”

The discussions highlighted the diversity of agri-PV systems and their importance for the energy transition and agriculture. Despite positive regulatory progress in Germany, adjustments are needed, and it is essential that the agricultural sector be involved in the decision-making process. 

Richard Härtel addressed precisely these key factors during the engaging panel discussion. We would like to thank Anna Heimsath from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE for moderating the event.

The second National Agri-PV Forum is scheduled for spring 2024—we’re looking forward to it!
